President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), Archbishop Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso, has urged Nigerians to obtain and safeguard their permanent voter cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ndagoso made the call yesterday in Kaduna during a visit to Kajuru community, where he warned against voter apathy and urged the citizens to ensure they are properly registered and prepared to participate in the polls.
Ndagoso stressed that active participation in the electoral process remains essential to credible leadership
“As for 2027, it is fast approaching and we are already in the season of party primaries. We are asking Nigerians to vote according to their conscience. If you have not collected your voter card, please do so. If your card is damaged or missing, ensure you replace it because without a voter card you cannot participate in elections,” he said.
He noted that although many Nigerians have become discouraged by past electoral experiences.
