Agency Tasks Abia Community On Ownership Of Health Facility

The executive secretary, Abia State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Kalu Ulu Kalu, has urged the people of Ania Ward, Ohafia to take ownership of Ania Primary Health Centre, Akanu Ohafia.

Ulu Kalu spoke at the funtionalisation of the facility in Ohafia local government area, underscoring the need for them to protect the infrastructure and the equipment.

He lauded the governor, Dr Alex Otti, for prioritising the health sector through strategic investments in primary healthcare facilities and other interventions across the state.

He described the event as another demonstration of the administration’s commitment to ensuring quality and affordable healthcare services at the grassroots level.

The mayor of the area, Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, said the Otti administration had brought a new era of purposeful governance and people-oriented development in the area.

‎He added that the governor’s records have continued to earn him the confidence and support of the people and urged him to remain focused on his agenda for the state.

‎In his remarks, the councillor representing the ward, Hon Kingsley Ukariwe Ajike, thanked the government for the facility, assuring of its protection and proper usesage.
