The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has charged personnel of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to embrace research, strategic communication and professionalism as essential pillars for building a modern, innovative and mission-ready force capable of meeting the country’s evolving security challenges.
Aneke gave the charge while unveiling The Master of Ceremonies Handbook, a publication authored by Squadron Leader Festus Chike Ezenyi, saying the Nigerian Air Force would continue to encourage intellectual development and the production of scholarly works that enhance institutional capacity and operational effectiveness.
The Air Chief described the publication as more than a guide for masters of ceremonies, noting that it reflects the values of discipline, effective communication and excellence that define the Nigerian Air Force.
He said research and knowledge sharing remain critical to improving decision-making, leadership and public engagement, adding that the NAF would continue to create an environment where personnel are encouraged to develop their intellectual potential alongside their operational competencies.
According to him, strategic communication has become an indispensable component of modern military operations, requiring officers and airmen to communicate with clarity, professionalism and confidence whenever they represent the Service in public engagements.
Aneke commended Squadron Leader Ezenyi for producing the handbook, describing the work as a valuable contribution to professional development within and beyond the military.
He urged other officers and personnel to emulate the author by investing in research, writing and other scholarly pursuits that contribute to national development and strengthen the institutional capacity of the Nigerian Air Force.
The Chief of the Air Staff reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to promoting innovation, continuous learning and professional excellence, stressing that intellectual growth remains indispensable to achieving operational success in an increasingly complex security environment.
