Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda got fans talking after his performance at a homecoming concert held at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), where he joined fellow artiste Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, to entertain students.
As Bella Shmurda, born Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed,
made his way to the stage, two bouncers walked closely beside him, guiding him through the crowd. The singer also pulled the hood of his jacket over his face, seemingly concealing his identity before making his entrance.
Once he revealed himself, the crowd erupted in cheers as students welcomed him with loud applause. Throughout his performance, the two security personnel stayed close to him, appearing to guide and protect him as he moved around the stage.
Clips from the concert quickly made the rounds on social media, with viewers offering differing interpretations of the singer’s mannerisms and energetic performance. Some speculated that he may have been intoxicated and praised the bouncers for remaining close to him throughout the show. Others even suggested that Zlatan appeared surprised by his friend’s behaviour.
However, another group of fans argued there was nothing unusual about the performance, describing Bella Shmurda’s stage presence as energetic and entertaining. They also noted that security personnel often remain close to artistes during crowded performances.
The video itself does not confirm the reason for Bella Shmurda’s behaviour, and the differing opinions remain speculative.
