American music superstar Beyoncé has released a new single titled “Morning Dew (Donk),” marking her first new musical release in two years.
The track, co-written and co-produced with Pharrell Williams, The-Dream, and Darius Dixon, was released alongside a black-and-white lyric video directed by Cliff Watts. The song will be featured on the upcoming 20th anniversary edition of her second studio album, B’Day, which originally debuted in September 2006.
According to a statement from Parkwood Entertainment, the single serves as a direct gift to her global fanbase. The announcement also marks the start of a 60-day countdown to the official reissue of the album and the singer’s upcoming birthday on September 4.
This release follows her 2024 country-inspired album Cowboy Carter, which earned her the Album of the Year award at the Grammys. The surprise single comes amid widespread public speculation about a potential third instalment of her multi-part musical project.
