Cheers, applause, as Benriffs emerges winner of Kiekie Unscripted Experience

Benjamin Omosivie, popularly known as Benriffs, has emerged as the winner of the maiden edition of the Kiekie Unscripted Experience competition.


The multi-talented performer secured victory with 91 percent of the votes at the finale which held in Sunday at the Mikano Experience Centre, Lagos. He received the grand prize of a brand new Mikano Changan CS15 SUV.


The competition, which began with more than 500 contestants, featured young creatives from various fields including music, comedy, acting, dance, spoken word and other performance categories. Contestants were tested through a series of unscripted tasks designed to measure creativity, adaptability and stage presence.


Benriffs’ performances saw him progress through the elimination stages until he emerged among the final 23 contestants who competed at the last stage.


The finale also featured a the prize presentation for the cooking contest judged by chefs including Hilda Baci and Mama Deola. Winners of the culinary challenge received cash prizes and cooking equipment.


Speaking after the finale, the show’s creator and host, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, known as Kiekie said the idea behind the platform was to create more opportunities for emerging talents to gain visibility and develop their skills.


“Talent in Nigeria is abundant, but opportunities are not always accessible to everyone. The goal was to create a platform where young people could showcase what they are capable of,” she said.


Mikano Motors, which provided the grand prize, said its involvement reflected its interest in supporting the growth of the creative industry and young Nigerian talents.


The finale was attended by several entertainment personalities, including Bovi, IK Osakioduwa, Eniola Badmus, Femi Adebayo, Kenny Blaq, Stan Nze, Jessica Obasi, Folagade Banks, Do2dtun, Aisha Lawal, Taoomaa, Veekee James, Bisola Aiyeola, VJ Adams and Osas Ighodaro.
