David Beckham To Receive Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

Soccer legend David Beckham, 51, is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 12, just hours before the opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which the United States co-hosts with Mexico and Canada, organisers announced.

The unveiling ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard will be attended by actor Tom Cruise and Beckham’s wife, fashion designer Victoria Beckham.

Ana Martinez of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said the former England captain’s star in the Sports Entertainment category comes at a timely moment, with America gearing up to host the global tournament.

“Beckham’s role in raising soccer’s profile in the United States, along with his lasting impact on sports, entertainment and world culture, makes this tribute especially significant,” Martinez added.

After retiring in 2013, Beckham – who had a storied club career with Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, LA Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain – became co-owner of Inter Miami CF.

The club later signed Argentine superstar Lionel Messi and captured the MLS Cup championship last year.

Beckham was knighted by King Charles III in 2024 and co-founded the content production company Studio 99 in 2019.
