Godfather Actor Anthony Guidera Dies At 65 Weeks After Collapse

Veteran Hollywood actor Anthony Guidera has passed away at the age of 65, several weeks after suffering a sudden medical emergency.

Guidera collapsed at his home in Southern California on May 11 after his heart unexpectedly stopped beating. Following three weeks on life support with no clear explanation for the collapse or signs of recovery, his family made the difficult decision to bring him home, where he passed away naturally, surrounded by his loved ones.

In an emotional tribute, his wife, Valarie Guidera, expressed the family’s deep grief over the sudden loss.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Anthony. We are devastated and trying to breathe through the impossible,” she stated.

Guidera was widely recognised for his breakthrough role in 1990 as a bodyguard in The Godfather: Part III. Throughout the 1990s, his career grew with memorable performances in major films such as Species, The Rock, The Postman, and Armageddon. He also established a strong presence on television, appearing in popular series including Baywatch, Angel, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He is survived by his wife and his son, Nick.
