Manchester United F.C. have agreed a £50 million deal with Chelsea F.C. for the transfer of midfielder Andrey Santos, according to Sky Sports.
The agreement is understood to be worth an initial £48 million, with a further £2 million in performance-related add-ons.
Chelsea will also retain a 10 per cent sell-on clause as part of the deal for the Brazilian midfielder.
Santos is now set to undergo a medical ahead of completing his move to Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the most highly rated young midfielders in Europe and would become one of Manchester United’s major signings of the summer transfer window.
The move comes as United continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League season, while Chelsea are expected to reinvest the funds as part of their ongoing squad restructuring.
Further details on the player’s contract and expected unveiling are anticipated once the medical process is completed.
