The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed 37 bills and 28 resolutions within three years, the Speaker, Dr. Danladi Jatau, said on Wednesday during the end of legislative year recess in Lafia.
Jatau said the legislative outputs have had direct impact on governance and development in the state, commending lawmakers for their cooperation and support since the inauguration of the Seventh Assembly.
“I want to thank you for giving me maximum support and cooperation over the years. We have achieved a lot as a result of our unity,” he said.
He added that aside from the 37 bills already passed, 33 bills are still pending before the House, while 28 resolutions have also been adopted.
The Speaker also praised members for maintaining a cordial working relationship with the executive arm, noting that the synergy had contributed to development achievements under Governor Abdullahi Sule.
“I want to appreciate you all and the opposition lawmakers for supporting His Excellency to succeed,” he said.
He wished lawmakers well as they proceeded on recess.
Earlier, the Deputy Majority Leader, Abel Yakubu Bala, moved a motion for the House to proceed on a five-week recess from June 6 to July 14, 2026.
The motion was seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Luka Iliya Zhekaba, and unanimously adopted by members.
