Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has penned a touching birthday message to his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, as she marked her 78th birthday.
In a heartfelt tribute, the revered cleric reflected on their 58-year marriage, expressing gratitude for her unwavering support, love, and dedication throughout their journey together. He noted that she had stood faithfully by his side through every challenge, victory, and divine assignment, describing her as not only his wife but also his friend and trusted companion.
Adeboye said walking life’s journey with her had made every burden lighter, adding that their shared faith had strengthened both their marriage and ministry over the decades. While many people affectionately know her as “Mummy G.O.,” he said he has the privilege of knowing her as the woman who has consistently encouraged him and countless others through her wisdom, compassion and quiet sacrifices.
The pastor also praised her devotion to God, saying their children, the church, and many families had been blessed by her commitment to God’s calling.
Concluding the emotional message, Adeboye prayed for God’s continued protection, strength, peace, and renewed health over his wife. He thanked her for walking hand in hand with him through nearly six decades of marriage before ending with a simple but affectionate message: “Happy 78th birthday, my love.”
