Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale has attributed his financial success entirely to his home country, saying Ghana has been the foundation of everything he has built in his career.
Speaking on his growth as an artiste, Shatta Wale said the opportunities and respect he receives in Ghana have been instrumental in making him wealthy, adding that he has never needed to look beyond its borders for financial reward.
“I’ve always seen myself as this international star, that you know, I just need to work on my stuff. I can get paid 1 million dollars in Ghana. I didn’t get rich anywhere, I got rich in Ghana,” he said.
The artiste further disclosed that he commands significant respect from a wide range of figures in the country, including political leaders, government ministers, event organisers and fans nationwide.
