Berlin-based Nigerian singer, Omobolaji Ayanfeoluwa, popularly known as Boyposy, has publicly accused content creator and musician, Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, widely known as Carter Efe, of failing to deliver on a N3 million music promotion agreement.
Speaking in an interview with media outlet Only Facts on July 13, 2026, Boyposy explained that the transaction was intended to fund the promotional campaign for his single titled “No Pressure,” which was recorded in 2024.
According to the Europe-based artiste, the song was scheduled to launch just two days before his departure from Nigeria, and Carter Efe was contracted well in advance to coordinate the promotional push.
Boyposy stated that during his two month stay in Nigeria, he met with Carter Efe on five different occasions to plan the release, and the business relationship appeared solid at the time. However, the situation changed immediately after he returned to Germany.
The singer claimed that once he was back in Berlin, Carter Efe stopped replying to his messages and became completely unreachable. When Boyposy eventually managed to confront him, the comedian allegedly dismissed his concerns, saying he could not be told what to do.
“I want to make sure everyone knows the truth. I paid 3million naira for a job that was never done,” Boyposy stated, describing the action as a breach of trust.
To back his claims, the singer shared transaction receipts of the 3million naira payment along with screenshots of their chat history during the live interview.
This development adds to a series of recent public controversies involving Carter Efe. The social media influencer, who rose to fame with his 2022 Wizkid-tribute track “Machala,” was recently in the news over a public dispute with his ex-partner and baby mama, Emmanuella.
Additionally, Carter Efe went viral on social media after posting a video of himself crying on the floor following a US visa denial, which stopped him from participating in an online content creation project hosted by American streamer Kai Cenat.
At the time of filing this report, Carter Efe had not released an official statement to address the allegations made by Boyposy.
