Sokoto Security Adviser Lauds Armed Forces, Mourns Fallen Heroes

The special adviser to the Governor of Sokoto State on Security Matters, Col. Ahmed Usman (rtd), has commended security operatives for their unwavering commitment and recent successes in combating criminal activities across the state.

Usman specifically praised the collaborative efforts of the Nigerian Army (NA), the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and other security agencies, whose recent operations led to the rescue of abducted residents and the neutralisation of several bandits terrorising communities in the state.

He described the achievements as a testament to the dedication, courage and professionalism of security personnel who continue to make enormous sacrifices to ensure the safety of life and property.

While urging the security agencies to sustain the momentum and intensify ongoing operations against criminal elements, the Security Adviser expressed deep sorrow over the loss of personnel in separate incidents while on duty.

He extended his condolences to the Nigerian Army over the death of three soldiers who lost their lives when their operational vehicle struck an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) along the Isa–Bargaja Road.

He also sympathised with the Nigeria Police Force following the killing of two police officers during a bandits’ ambush in Tureta Local Government Area.

According to him, the sacrifices of the fallen heroes will never be forgotten, as they paid the supreme price in service to their fatherland.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Jannatul Firdaus and to give their immediate families, the Nigerian Army, and the Nigeria Police Force the fortitude to bear these irreparable losses.
