Beloved, congratulations! You made it to the sixth month of the year. Thanks be to God.
The sixth month isn’t just the end of the first half of the year, it can be called the month of Good News because of significant events recorded in the sixth month according to the Holy Bible.
Perhaps you have toiled so much like Peter and your efforts have been fruitless, you can have an overflow if you allow Jesus step into your situation as he did for Peter.
At a time like this, if you have a goal that you want to achieve before the year runs out, the time to act faster is now so that good news would be your testimony.
You may have taken some steps in life that now works against what you wish to have. Brethren, go to the Lord in prayer with a remorseful heart and plead for forgiveness.
For many other people they are unable to trace or take an action against what has hindered or delayed the miracle.
There is no record in the Holy Bible that Blind Bartimaeus‘s sin was responsible for his blindness yet he called for mercy.
Mark 10 vs. 47 and 48 ( KJV) : “ And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began t cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
And many charged him that he should hold his peace; but he cried the more a grate deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me”.
You are familiar with the story. Jesus stood still , attended to him and he regained his sight.
Let’s look at two important events that occurred in the sixth month according to the records of the Holy Bible.
Luke 1 v. 26 (KJV): “ And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee , named Nazareth”.
The visitation to Mary that she would have our Lord was in the sixth month.
Note, the angel came with a word from God.
In verse 36 of the same chapter, the Bible records “ And behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren”.
In Elisabeth’s case, she was old and had been barren for years, but God visited her and by the time she and her cousin, Mary met, the baby in her was six months old.
For both Mary and Elisabeth, human beings would say, it is “ impossible” and they would be right. Mary conceived as a virgin by the power of the Holy Ghost and Elisabeth that everyone had written off also conceived when the power of God entered into her womb.
In the case of Elisabeth, it was the mercy of God that propelled her miracle. God remembered her.
As you progress in this month of June, may God remember you and visit you in the name of Jesus.
Another record of a memorable event in the sixth month is recorded in Ezekiel 8 vs. 1&2: “ And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.
Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire, and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the color of amber”.
Brethren, the key word here is the “ the hand of the Lord God”. When the hand of the Lord God is upon you, whatever has been locked down in your life will open up.
You will move forward and stagnation would be terminated.
With the hand of God upon you, an end would come to fear, worries, mockery or shame in your life.
God did it for Elisabeth. He can still do it for you if only you trust Him and cry for mercy.
Other significant words in the passage quoted are “ an appearance of fire, … as the appearance of brightness, as the color of amber”.
That is the Holy Ghost in action.
You don’t believe? Acts of Apostles 2 vs. 1-4 ( NIV) is my witness. It states: “ When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind, came from heaven and filled the whole house were they were sitting.
They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them . All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them”.
Use this prayer point, “ Every chain and fetter that the enemy has used to hold down my destiny, break by fire”.
It may seem a simple prayer but it is an invitation to the Holy Spirit to set you free and according to the Bible, ‘ ye shall be free indeed”.
When the Holy Ghost steps in, the challenge must vanish. Why? It is became light and darkness cannot remain in the same spot. Darkness must give way to light.
A challenge is a form of darkness and it could be in any form.
It varies from one person to another. Every person knows what constitutes a “but’ in his or her life but the power the Almighty God can bring a turn- around.
The month of June is the time to move forward and I pray that the power of God will propel you forward. You will move from obscurity to the limelight in the name of Jesus.
Beloved, do not despair, the days of the tears of sorrow would soon be over.
Isaiah 60 vs. 2: “ For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and glory shall be seen upon thee”.
When the challenge is gone and the glory of God is seen in you, that is when you give testimony and people rejoice with you.
Many of these battles, you cannot fight yourself, let God fight on your behalf.
Joshua 10 vs. 14 : “ And there was no day like that before it or after it , that the LORD harkened unto the voice of man: for the LORD fought for Israel”.
Even if human beings stand as obstacles to your progress, you may not have the capacity to fight for yourself but God can fight for you.
Another step to take is to act on God’s revelation.
Search the scriptures to find what God has said about your situation.
Read stories of people who had similar challenges and how they got a breakthrough.
2nd Corinthians 4 vs. 13: “ We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak:
You just have to believe the Word of God that you have read or heard.
As you cry on the Lord, good news would be at your doorsteps.
Glory be to God.
