Former Manchester City and Barcelona star Yaya Touré is set to embark on a new chapter in his coaching career after reportedly agreeing terms to become the new head coach of Slovak champions Slovan Bratislava.
According to reports from Sky Sports, the Ivorian football icon will be joined by former Celtic and Swansea City coach Darren O’Dea, who is expected to serve as his assistant.
The appointment marks Touré’s first major senior managerial role and represents a significant step in his transition from a decorated playing career to football management.
Touré, widely regarded as one of the finest midfielders of his generation, enjoyed a glittering career at the highest level. During his time at Manchester City, he played a pivotal role in the club’s rise to domestic dominance, winning three Premier League titles and several other major honours.
