The Federal Republic of Nigeria congratulates Joseph Aoun on his election as the President of the Republic of Lebanon. Joseph Aoun secured 99 votes in Lebanon’s 128-seat parliament, successfully ending the presidential deadlock that has left the country without a head of state since October 2022.

Nigeria looks forward to further strengthening the historic, strong, and vibrant ties between our two nations for the mutual benefit of our peoples.

Signed:

Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa
