Police Raid Lagos ‘Yahoo School’, Free 12-Year-Old Trainee And Others

A raid by the Lagos State Police Command has shut down an illicit internet fraud training facility, known as a “Yahoo School”, in the Iju area of the state.

Four main operators of the facility, identified as Chibuike Ihejika, Stanley Ihejika, Obiora Oyediba, and Emmanuel Oyedibe, were arrested alongside six trainees, including a 12-year-old boy, Minachi Udochukwu.

The other six suspects are their criminal trainees, all of whom were undergoing training in cybercrime and fraud: Okorie Henry, Otoh Chisom, 20; Okeke Kwufrochikwu, 26; Uchenna Obeji, 26; Minachi Udochukwu, 12; and Chinedu Ukachukwu, 23.

According to police reports, the operators recruited their trainees from Anambra State and engaged them in internet fraud, confiscating the proceeds from their illicit activities.
