The South African Government has been dragged into the ongoing Bolt to Bolt challenge between Nigeria and South Africa.

Nigerians were triggered during the early hours of Thursday as Mzansi ordered rides from 9ja to different places in SA.

Nigerians took it extreme by paying back till all Bolt riders were booked.

Screenshot of a tweet made by the South African Government about the Bolt battle surfaced on social media.

“Congratulations to Nigeria for winning the Bolt Challenge! Your dedication and spirit are truly inspiring. Now that it’s over. Let’s ensure rides stay local – support your own!”

The tweet is believed to be fake and untrue, but a few Twitter users claimed the South African Government took down the tweet.
