The Renewed Hope Ambassadors Youth Directorate, in collaboration with the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing, has announced the maiden edition of the Renewed Hope Youth Festival 2026 (RHYF 2026) – Democracy Day Special.
The youth-centred initiative aimed to celebrate Nigeria’s democratic journey while empowering, engaging and inspiring young people across the nation.
Scheduled to hold on June 12, 2026 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, the festival is expected to attract over 10,000 young Nigerians for a dynamic convergence of sports, entertainment, innovation, leadership, networking, learning, and opportunities.
With the theme, “Consolidating the Future: Youth Empowerment, Democratic Resilience and the Renewed Hope Mandate,” the festival is designed to provide a vibrant platform for young Nigerians to connect, compete, acquire valuable knowledge, showcase their talents, and explore opportunities for personal and professional advancement.
The event will feature an exciting lineup of activities, including football, basketball, table tennis, chess, gaming and virtual reality experiences, talent showcases, dance performances, live music, DJ sessions, exhibitions, networking engagements and rewarding giveaway experiences.
One of the major highlights of the festival will be the Growth and Development Masterclass, where renowned industry leaders and professionals will equip participants with practical knowledge on personal branding, financial literacy and wealth creation, effective communication, emotional intelligence, health, wellness, and career development.
On the significance of the initiative, the director of Youth, Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, described the festival as a transformative platform for celebrating youth excellence, promoting civic participation, fostering national unity, and creating meaningful opportunities for young Nigerians to learn, connect, and thrive.
Also, the APC national youth leader, Dayo Israel, noted that the festival aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda’s commitment to youth development, inclusion, and nation-building, emphasising the crucial role young people play in strengthening Nigeria’s democracy and driving sustainable progress.
