Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage has disclosed that she is currently building a new home, adding that her present residence gives her a sense of security due to its proximity to the president’s house.
Speaking in an interview with content creator Korty, the Afrobeats star revealed that her new property is not yet complete and is expected to be ready by next year.
“I bought a house somewhere, but it’s not ready till next year. I feel safe and important in my current location because the president’s house is in front,” she said.
This is not the first time Savage has made headlines for her real estate acquisitions. Last year, the singer offered fans a glimpse of a luxury penthouse she was developing in Ikoyi, Lagos State, sharing clips of the under-construction property on social media.
Prior to that, in 2023, she rounded off the year by purchasing a home in London, UK, flaunting its upscale interiors — complete with a fully equipped gym, furnished living spaces, and a private cinema room.
Close friend and blogger Tunde Ednut claimed the mother of one spent approximately N1.7 billion on the London property.
Meanwhile, the singer had hinted in 2024 that she may be considering retirement from music, revealing she was working on what could be her final studio album.
