He hails from the Agbor tribe and held the esteemed title of high chief of Ndi Anioma and Agbor Kingdom. Early Life and Education:

Cairo, born to Chief Corlenso Ojougboh and Mrs. Angelina Ojougboh, received his early education at Pilgrims Baptist Primary School and graduated from St. Columba’s Grammar School in 1976. He continued his studies at Auchi Polytechnic before earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Benin in 1985.

Political Career Highlights:

Cairo’s political journey commenced with his tenure as the Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) from 1998 to 1999. Throughout his career, he demonstrated a strong commitment to public service, evident in his roles as the Presidential Liaison Officer to the President on NASS and Special Assistant to the President on NASS from 2007 to 2011. Subsequently, he served as the Chairman of the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) from 2013 to 2015.

Within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Cairo held significant positions, including National Vice Chairman and Chairman for the South South region from 2014 to 2016, followed by his appointment as Deputy National Chairman from 2016 to 2017. His political acumen extended to roles such as Political Adviser to Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark and Executive Secretary of the National Unity Group (NUG).
